Itinerary

1. Day 1 - Zanzibar to Kilimanjaro Airport and Arusha

   Pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your domestic flight to northern Tanzania. On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your mainland safari team and transfer toward Arusha. Depending on flight timing, you may have time for a short city visit, local market stop, or relaxed hotel time before dinner and overnight stay in Arusha.

2. Day 2 - Tarangire National Park and Overnight in Karatu

   After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. Spend the day exploring one of northern Tanzania’s most beautiful parks, famous for large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, open landscapes, and seasonal wildlife around the Tarangire River. After the game drive, continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

You may join the Hadzabe for a traditional bush experience and learn about their way of life, then visit Datoga blacksmiths and discover their ironwork traditions. Later, return to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

After the safari, visit a Maasai village if arranged, then return to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

After the game drive, transfer back to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport depending on flight schedule for your return flight to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar, transfer back to your hotel.

Before you book

Pickup

Zanzibar hotel pickup and airport transfer are arranged after flight availability is checked. The exact pickup time, airport and any location supplement are confirmed in writing before payment.

Start time

Early departure is normally required. Final hotel pickup and flight times are confirmed after airline and supplier availability is secured.

Private / shared

Private safari vehicle unless the confirmed quotation states a shared arrangement. Domestic flights may carry other passengers.

Guide language

Live tour guidance and booking communication are provided in English. Another guide language is available only when Kofia confirms it in writing before payment.

Children

Children may join when the airline, park, accommodation and itinerary permit. Send each child age and travel document details before confirmation. Child fare, seat, room and safety requirements are quoted in writing.

Cancellation

The quotation will show the cancellation terms before payment. Issued flights, park fees, permits and reserved accommodation may be non-refundable or date-restricted. If a guest cancels, Kofia refunds any recoverable balance after disclosed supplier charges. A booking request alone has no cancellation charge.

Weather

Safety and official operating decisions come first. Wildlife sightings and exact routes are never guaranteed. Airline, park or supplier disruptions follow the written quotation; Kofia will offer the available reroute, reschedule or refund for any recoverable unprovided service.

Payment

Flights, permits and accommodation are secured only after the required deposit or payment. The written quotation states the amount, due date, currency, payment method and supplier conditions. Fare changes before ticketing may require a revised quotation. Never pay an account or link that Kofia has not confirmed.

Confirmation

Kofia normally acknowledges the request quickly and aims to send a complete quotation within 24 hours after checking flights and suppliers. The safari is confirmed only after written confirmation and any required payment.
