Before you book

Pickup

A Stone Town meeting point is included. Hotel pickup can be added from other Zanzibar areas; the transport supplement depends on the hotel location and is confirmed before payment.

Start time

Morning departure is recommended. The exact walking-tour and boat times are planned around tide, weather, the confirmed lunch arrangement and hotel pickup.

Private / shared

The displayed launch price is for a private arrangement based on the confirmed minimum group and pickup zone. A shared departure is offered only when a suitable group, supplier and schedule are confirmed in writing.

Guide language

Live tour guidance and booking communication are provided in English. Another guide language is available only when Kofia confirms it in writing before payment.

Children

Children are welcome when the activity is suitable. Send every child age before confirmation. Child price, vehicle seat, life-jacket, swimming ability and attraction requirements are confirmed in writing before payment.

Cancellation

A booking request can be cancelled without charge before written confirmation and payment. After confirmation, cancellation is free until 48 hours before the start, less any supplier cost disclosed as non-refundable before payment. Cancellation 24 to 48 hours before start is charged 50%; within 24 hours or no-show is non-refundable. Date changes depend on availability.

Weather

Kofia may reverse the itinerary, shorten the sandbank stay, reschedule or cancel the boat section when sea, tide or weather conditions are unsafe. If the boat section cannot operate, Kofia offers a suitable adjustment, new date or refund for the recoverable unprovided service.

Payment

After availability and the final price are confirmed in writing, Kofia sends the approved payment method and any required deposit. The confirmation states the currency, amount paid, remaining balance and due date. Never pay an account or link that Kofia has not confirmed.

Confirmation

Kofia normally replies within 2 hours between 07:00 and 22:00 East Africa Time. Late-night requests are handled the next morning. The experience is confirmed only after written confirmation and any required payment.
